How do you feel about those who hike off trail? I know it is frowned upon by some in the environmental communities.

I'm part of the problem when it comes to hiking off trail. I take user trails around instead of walking through big mud patches! I don't cut switchbacks, so there's that.

I hike off trail a lot but I attempt to watch where o step. I can usually identify flowers and orchids pretty well. I tread lightly but I see a lot off trail and have no intentions to stop. I know some folks don’t like that at all.
